The Ultimate Reading Journaling Post

Please visit this post at its new location--

  1. I think journals are the most difficult thing in MS. With 150 kids, it's SUPER hard for me to read journals consistently - which makes it hard for the KIDS to see the value in it, if I'm not reading every entry.

Hmmm... maybe I'll copy out some guidelines and questions and have the kids glue them into the journal to refer back to as they write.

  2. I remember journaling in middle school, but the teacher made check marks in it at the end of the quarter. She wrote random comments. Seeing how many kids she (Mrs. Kalfa) had, I don't know how she did it and remained sane afterwards. LOL. I know because I still have the journal somewhere.
